Nicqui Grant

Nicqui col2Nicqui Grant, RD (SA) graduated from the University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics. She also completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dietetics at the University of Natal.

Nicqui is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and is a member of the Association for Dietetics SA (ADSA) of which she is also a past Chairlady of the Gauteng South Branch.

Nicqui has more than 16 years of experience in the field of Clinical Dietetics and nutrition. She has always had a passion for nutrition in the life cycle. As a mother she also understands the challenges working Moms are faced daily in feeding the family well. Nicqui also has vast experience in the field of nutrition and Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome and Fertility.  She has worked extensively with people suffering from gastrointestinal disorders, and is passionate about FODMAPs.

As a keen cook she has published a recipe book to assist with healthy eating “The Ultimate Diet Solution Cookbook” (Struik). Nicqui is a regular contributor to many magazine publications for various nutrition related topics, these publications include, Your Pregnancy, Shape and YOU amongst many others.

As an accomplished speaker, Nicqui has appeared on numerous Television Talk show including 3Talk, Carte Blanche and Sunrise TV. She has participated in many radio talks shows and has been asked to present to both the public and professionals on various aspects of nutrition.

Nicqui also consults to both the food and pharmaceutical industry and is passionate about making nutritional science more comprehensible to all.

Currently, Nicqui is registered and completing her Certificate of Competency in Integrative Medicine with The University Of Stellenbosch, Department of Family Medicine.

 Jane Bentley

Jane Bentley

Jane Bentley, RD (SA) completed her Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Dietetics at the University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg.  She also completed a Masters in Medical Science (Paediatrics) at the University of Natal, Durban, and has completed the Trainer of Trainers in Lactation Management through the KZN Department of Health.

Jane is registered with the Health Professional Council of SA (HPCSA) and Association for Dietetics SA (ADSA).

Jane has worked in the academic hospital environment, in HIV and breastfeeding research, trained health care workers on infant feeding counselling, worked in private practice, and with online education, taken time out to travel, and to be a mom.  She loves interacting with others, nutrition, and being outdoors – be it running, horse riding, swimming, hiking, or playing outside with her kids.

She has worked in a team, providing chapters for several published books and HIV counselling training tools.  She has been on radio and given talks in professional forums.

All aspects of nutrition interest Jane, but particularly infant and child feeding, sports nutrition, insulin related issues, autoimmunity, cancer, and gastrointestinal health and FODMAPs.  She believes that positive, healthy living is attainable for all, and a cornerstone is practical, healthy eating.  She believes that most people have an idea how to make healthy life choices, but not always the tools to implement them successfully.  Developing tools together creates an environment for success.

Cheryl Meyer

Cheryl Meyer

Cheryl Meyer RD(SA) completed her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics at the University of KwaZulu Natal, Pietermartizburg.  Cheryl is registered with the Health Professions Council South Africa, Association for Dietetics South Africa, and Health and Care Professions Council United Kingdom.

On qualifying, Cheryl completed her community service year at South Rand Hospital, in Rosettenville, Johannesburg.  She went on to work in London to gain valuable dietetic experience, as well as working in corporate wellness in South Africa before going into private practice.

Cheryl sees nutrition as an integral part of disease prevention and management.  She is passionate about helping people to manage illness and improve their health through healthy diet and lifestyle choices and thoroughly enjoys the challenge for finding practical solutions to help them achieve their goals.

Cheryl is passionate about food and nutrition, with particular areas of interest in childhood nutrition, healthy (and tasty) cooking, gastrointestinal health, FODMAPs and weight management.
